CTC started in 1950, determined to provide convenient and reliable communication for our community. Today, CTC continues to set the standard in telecommunications for the Brainerd Lakes Area and beyond, while still striving to improve and expand our service areas by delivering state-of-the-art internet, TV, and phone services.

 

As a cooperative, CTC is owned by our members, guided by our Board of Directors, and driven by our mission to empower our members, employees, and communities through exceptional service and life-changing technology solutions for a sustainable future.

Member Service Representative I/
Sales Coordinator

 

Do you thrive in a fast-paced and changing technology environment? Are you detail-oriented with solid organizational savvy and excellent communication skills?

 

CTC has an immediate opening for a Member Service Representative/Sales Coordinator.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, effective and efficient service and technical support to all membership and potential membership of CTC.
  • Ensure member satisfaction by providing targeted member service when answering all incoming telephone calls or walk-in members.
  • Provide members with basic technical support as well as communicating with members through online web portals.
  • Partner with all departments and technical support in resolving member issues.
  • Effectively communicate with the CTC membership in verbal and written format.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all other account related questions, including keeping members up to date on outstanding issues.
  • Provide support to the CTC Business Sales team.

GIS Technician

CTC has an immediate opening for a GIS Technician.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform entry to mid-level professional GIS duties as part of CTC’s GIS team.
  • Manage and update spatial data related to telecommunications.
  • Lead and assist internal projects related to member growth, reporting requirements, and leveraging existing GIS applications.
  • Work with departments company-wide, to provide data, create maps, or develop geospatial solutions that improve operations.

 

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with using GIS systems or equivalent education.
  • A college degree with Geography or GIS emphasis is preferred.
  • Experience with GIS software for data creation, editing and analysis will be a requirement in addition experience or willingness to learn Python, Arcade, or other relevant scripting languages.

GIS Intern

 

Do you want to learn a variety of GIS skills in a fast-paced, changing technology environment? Are you a college student with a desire to acquire professional GIS experience and job-related skills?

 

CTC has an immediate opening for a GIS Intern.

 

The primary responsibility of the GIS Intern is to perform entry-level professional GIS tasks while assisting CTC’s GIS staff with their daily activities and projects. The GIS Intern will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of GIS and learn a wide range of applicable skills.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create and edit spatial and non-spatial datasets related to telecommunications
  • Utilize ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online to create and edit GIS layers, maps, and applications that can be sharable across departments
  • Lead and assist the GIS Team with a variety of internal GIS and data projects that span across departments
  • Opportunity to expand your GIS skillset to include more advanced knowledge such as cartographic mapping, administrating web GIS, understanding GIS enterprise architecture, and scripting

 

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess a High School diploma or GED and be a current college student, or currently registered for college
  • Knowledge of GIS through coursework or practice
  • Willingness to work within a flexible team environment
  • Ability to learn and be open to new challenges
  • Able to prioritize and work independently with direction
  • Reliably be able to commute to CTC’s Brainerd office

Network Analyst II

 

Do you have expert knowledge of computer networks? Do you enjoy building and troubleshooting network services?

 

CTC has an immediate opening for a Network Analyst II.

 

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and maintaining CTC’s voice, video, & data networks
  • Design, develop, document, analyze, create, test, and modify the network and computer systems for CTC
  • Serve as a liaison between design/project activity and daily support needs to maintain the network and solve customer issues

 

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A.A or technical certificate in computer network administration or related field, or the equivalent of five or more years of experience
  • CCNA certification strongly desired for this position

Account Executive
– Iron Range

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell CTC’s products and services including Internet, Metro Ethernet, Hosted IP Telephone (HPBX), SIP, PRI, and Traditional TDM if needed
  • Prospect for new Business sales opportunities, identify sales applications, proposes solutions, and close the sale

 

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • High School diploma, two-year degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of inbound and outbound sales is preferred but not required.

Marketing Intern

Do you thrive in a fast-paced and changing technology environment? Are you detail-oriented with solid organizational savvy and excellent communication skills?

 

CTC, a competitive telecommunications company located in Brainerd, Minnesota, has an opening for a Marketing/Design Intern.

 

This person will assist the in-house marketing team with a variety of tasks related to design, marketing, communications, and public relations. Activities will be based on the person’s skills and interests and may include:

  • Event management
  • Digital asset organization
  • Historical documentation
  • Graphic design
  • Photography and Videography
  • Copywriting and editing
  • Website/social media management
  • Donation/sponsorship tracking

 

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills along with attention to detail. They must be knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Skills in website, social media, and event management are a plus. Creativity, flexibility, and a good attitude are imperative; the candidate should be able to work independently, jump into team assignments, and juggle multiple projects.

 

The position will be paid, up to 40 hours/week, with no benefits. The person will work out of the CTC office in Baxter.
