About CTC

CTC started in 1950, determined to provide convenient and reliable communication for our community. Today, CTC continues to set the standard in telecommunications for the Brainerd Lakes Area and beyond, while still striving to improve and expand our service areas by delivering state-of-the-art internet, TV, and phone services.

As a cooperative, CTC is owned by our members, guided by our Board of Directors, and driven by our mission to empower our members, employees, and communities through exceptional service and life-changing technology solutions for a sustainable future.

Our Culture

At CTC, we give employees a chance to thrive in a competitive and fun environment. Every one of our employees (less than 100!) is a critical piece to our success. If you’re eager to learn in an ever-changing industry and thrive in a fast-paced environment, CTC is your place.

Our Mission

To empower our members, employees, and communities through exceptional service and life-changing technology solutions for a sustainable future.

Our Vision

Through technology leadership, smart growth, and community engagement, our cooperative will demonstrate extraordinary focus to positively transform those we serve.

Growth

CTC’s service area continues to expand in a BIG way. As a technology service advisor, we partner with organizations and communities throughout the nation. We work with utilities, municipalities, and government entities by offering technical expertise, system infrastructure, and leadership to build state-of-the-art fiber and wireless networks.

That’s a lot of growth! To keep up with our mission to provide exceptional service, we’re looking to expand our team.

“My favorite thing about CTC is our drive to always be the best in the business while having a good sense of humor and finding some fun in our work day.”

-Kristi Westbrock, CEO

Values

Member Experience

Excellence is expected. We strive for stellar experiences for all of our members, even those that require extra patience. We will be proud of our image in the community and actively participate and support engagement efforts for the betterment of the places we serve.

Accountability

We will always be able to justify our actions or decisions for the betterment of our membership. We will be responsible stewards of the Cooperative and require the same level of accountability from our teams. Relying on each other for support, advice and collaboration is key to a trusting relationship.

Competition

Our competitors fear us. We are bold, fun, goal-achieving players in our marketplace and workplace. Our employees are recognized for results that make us winners. Working together as a cohesive team propels our success.

Innovation

Our minds will be open in exploring advanced and creative ways to service our current and future membership. We will take the same approach in managing our teams. The services we deploy will represent our technical expertise. We will be expers in each of our respective lines of business.

Performance

Results drive us to work hard and smart each day. We are goal achievers. There is no room for subpar outcomes. Consistency leads to success.

Work Hard, Play Hard

Working at CTC means having fun! From go-karts, bumper cars, and minigolf to parades and pontoon rides, CTC offers a multitude of fun optional activities. With frequent golfing events giving you a chance to play tournaments with our team, company movie nights for employees and their families, and catered events with some of the best restaurants in the area, there’s never a dull moment.
