Credit Card Processing Fee Policy
Effective October 1, 2026
A 2.5% surcharge applies to credit card transactions to help offset credit card processing costs. The surcharge does not exceed CTC’s cost of acceptance.
Payment Methods Subject to the Surcharge
The 2.5% surcharge applies to credit card payments, including recurring AutoPay payments.
Payment Methods Exempt from the Surcharge
No surcharge applies to payments made using:
- Debit cards
- Bank accounts (ACH/eCheck)
- Cash
Payment Options
CTC offers several convenient ways to pay your bill:
- Online: Through the myCTC app or eBill at ctcebill.brainerd.net
- By phone: Using eCheck payment, debit, or credit card.*
- In person: At our Baxter or Crosby offices
- Payment drop box: At our Baxter, Brainerd or Crosby locations. Drop boxes accept checks only; please do not deposit cash.
- By mail: Checks Only
Auto Pay:
Auto pay is available online, by phone, or in person using a credit card, debit card, or bank account (ACH/eCheck). Credit card auto pay payments are subject to the 2.5% surcharge.
